Hello fellow blue lighters,

I've been an active user of amphetamine (through adderall) for a little over a year now. I am prescribed it at the amount of 40mg xr a day. My one problem with using it is that i end up taking about 60 or 80mg xr a day, so i run out early each month. I go through regular intervals of absolutely NO energy, and this really holds me back from college and life with people.

Additionally, I take suboxone for a past opiate addiction. I believe this adds to the sedation and apathy. The main reason i started adderall was because my ADD was the cause of my drug abuse, so i feel no reason to use drugs when I take it.

Anyway,
How can i get my way through amphetamine withdrawal fast? I take magnesium supplements regularly, and I dose DXM whenever I run out of medicine. I hear these substances help speed up the withdrawal process, but I could be wrong.

Thanks for any help given

IME proper diet and sleep is best for Adderall w/d.

DXM sedates me beyond functioning...but i'm freakishly intolerant to sedating effects of many medications.

A child multivitamin before bed the day before no Adderall helps me tremendously energy-wise.

Worst-case scenario when i'm out of adderall, i take 1/2 of a NoDoz caffeine pill with breakfast and the rest later if necessary.

the thing that helps the absolute most is natural, unmedicated sleep (hah! i know) and replenishing your seratonin as quickly as possible. for me, 5-htp (seratonin precursor) works pretty well at the 200mg/day level.

expect and be prepared for the irritability & depression, remember it is only biological cos you've fucked your brain chemistry round, dont make it bigger than it is or about something its not, youll spin yourself out and stay up obsessing.

it sounds obvious, but exercising is the fkn best bro. Not only do you get bonus endorphin soup, you'll be able to sleep a lot better at night, and as iv said sleep is really the biggest thing to get over the w.d
