so heres the deal im goin through some real stressful times lookin after my farther who has dementia so been put on a course of diazepam 5mg x 3 times a day. but i could easily go through 6 or more in a day. some days i do just to get some relief. so i told dr an now he has added amitripyline 10mg twice a day. so what im wonderin to help me avoidin a stupid tollerance to the diazepam will these be a better alternative to benzos? i know that there an old type anti deppressant! but are they any good for anxiety many thanks for all replies
