i know this happened a while ago, but i just saw the post on BL about how he got killed by a drunk driver and it reminded me that i miss amapola :(

he was like the first friend i made on BL, he was always nice and he was a good guy. he would complement me on my informative posts, and it made me feel good.

it was weird because i was wondering wheree amapola has been and sent him a pm saying hey, and then i stumbled upon his RIP post, and i just felt sooo, idk i cant explain it, sad, and i miss him

i know there is a thread like this already, but i was feeling sad and a little depressed, but i think we should remember everything good he did, does anyone have any stories of where amapola helped you out?

He was a voice of reason, always with a kind and uncluttered delivery. He had integrity and such a lack of ego in everything he did. His contributions to Bluelight were I'm sure a reflection of how he lived his life outside of here. I was so sorry that he died in such a horrible and tragic way.

A loss to the community and to the world indeed.

Please let this be a reminder to turn over the keys to a sober person and to make the decision not to drive on alcohol or other drugs. The legal penalties, as severe as they seem to be at times, are there for a reason, so that people like amapola don't need to die just because someone who is impaired *has* to get somewhere. Please, everyone, have a sober person around or if that isn't so, call a taxi. The life you save might not just be your own.

<3 :(
