Am I weird/doing it wrong/immune?

I am not an opiate taker, at least to begin with, and have no rxs though experience with things like mdma etc... I have had about 3 surgeries for which I think I had a morphine drip over 9 years(2 broken legs and wisdom teeth).

I took 2 vicodin and didn't feel anything. About 2 weeks later I took 20mg of old oxy (not OP) and didn't feel anything. About a week or 2 later I took 40mg oxy and didn't feel anything. About 6 months later I took 3 Norcos and didn't feel anything. 2day I took 1.5 Norcos, and 5mg methadone and didn't feel anything.

Opiates, am I doing them wrong? Or is my body just weird or something?

You may just have a natural high tolerance for opioids. Its also possible that you just don't experience the typical positive (euphoric) effects from them, but do get pain relief. Some people seem to report this occurring.

How did you take the Oxy? If you swallowed the OC 20 or even the 40, the time release may have prevented you from feeling the euphoria. You should crush up the OC to defeat the time release and then swallow the powder. Likewise, the 2 vicodin and the norcos may not have been enough, but be careful with these because they contain acetaminophen. (Taking too much acetaminophen is not a good idea.)

how unfortunate if you have a naturally high tolerance to opiates, on the other hand if you werent breaking the time release on the tabs then that explains why no euphoria as was stated above by Verso

Dude you said you had a morphine drip for 9 years.. i doubt you would feel 60-70 mg of oxy. Morphine causes rapid tolerance easily and since you had a drip you possible have a very large tolerance from before.

He had a morphine drip twice, for a few minutes or hours or days, over the course of 9 years. He didn't say he was on a drip for 9 years solid.

Personally, 40mg (or even 55mg) of oxycodone doesn't do shit to me either. I notice a psychoactive effect, mostly lightheadedness and fiending for cigs/drugs; but there's little analgesia or euphoria compared to cannabis.

5mg of methadone is a very light dose too.

Try 20mg of methadone sometime.

I had the morphine drip for like 2 hours 2 of the times, and about 6 hours? when I was 13. I crushed the oxys. Popping/crushing norcos makes no difference.

40mg oxy can just be put down to high tolerance? No real prior opiate experience, and I didn't feel anything. I am disappointed.

Ive also heard of people not experiencing the opiate "high" but do get pain relief. I know that would suck but its reality. Also, if you do have a high natural tolerance, that sucks also but may its a blessing in disguise. If you cant get high, you cant get addicted! Have you tried Opana? If those things dont get you high, I dont know what will.

I'm in the same boat. I tried 5 mg methadone and felt nothing. So next I tried 30 mg morphine (MS Contin, crushed). I felt intense nausea for about 1/2 hr but nothing else. No euphoria, no sleepiness, no itching. That should be a decent dose for a beginner, right? The fact that I felt nausea tells me it had some impact on my body, but I didn't get anything like a high.

I get the opioid high from everything but the *codones, but I don't get any analgesia from opioids really...

So my pet flamingo tried stronger opiates; that didn't really do anything either. Although my pet flamingo was a bit intoxicated, he could have imagined perhaps what he thinks most people feel from a vicodin? Interestingly enough, Burprenorphine 1mg insufflated had a little bit of sedating effect? But quickly wore off to be replaced by rather upsetting nausea for the next 8 hours or so. At least my flamingo felt something? What causes opiate nausea anyway? Would Ondansetron.... or another 5ht3 antagonist..

So my pet flamingo tried smoking black tar heroin

Don't mean to ask an irrelevant question- but does talking like this actually (pet flamingo, SWIM, etc.) serve any purpose? Or, since I think I know WHY, the question should probably be- does it work? I just find it annoying/distracting.

Did you feel anything on the morphine drip??

It's either a real bummer or a blessing in disguise that you don't feel them.

Also, are you trying to get some relief from pain or get a buzz? Just curious.

Yeah...

No idea lol, sorry

^I was asleepy, it was during surgery, just mentioned in case I had some instant insane tolerance build that lasted nearly 9 years.

^Yeah, that was what I thought. I'd like a little bit so that I don't run too much risk though I think I'd have to make myself stop if I felt myself getting addicted to anything.

^The latter. Lol, I don't like the word buzz. Or "thizz" for that matter... But no, I'm not in any pain, Norco/oxy sounds like it would go nicely at my palm treed pool with some friends and a girl or 2.

I tried 5mg Methadone last Saturday & I was high the whole day, I believe it lasted about 12 hours. My cousin tried 10mg Methadone & he said he wouldnt go any higher than that, he was feeling good.

For some reason, it doesnt take me much to get where I wanna be & the thing about Methadone is, its a great pain reliever. Since I take Norcos for my back pain, the Methadone relieved my back pain better than the Norcos or Oxys do but I wont be taking Methadone for pain relief because of how addicting it is & how bad the withdrawals are & I dont wanna be in that boat.
