Mental Health Am I too young?

Thanks for the support everyone, I have been abstaining from psychoactives for about a week now and already feeling more clear headed. Would you guys consider phenibut to be bad for you? I've been using for about 3 days straight with breaks to avoid physical addiction because i know it can be as bad as benzo withdrawals.

A few things

Phenibut can be very addictive. Be really careful with that shit. It's not bad for you but you might want to head over to the other drugs forum and check out the phenibut megathread and read some of the horror stories about addiction posted there. Give your body and brain a chance to reach homeostasis off all drugs for a while and see how you feel.

I don't think you're too young to have a mental illness. In my personal experience, serious depression can start at an age far younger than yours and last a lifetime. However, if you've laid off the drugs and are already experiencing positive effects from it, that's a great sign. Anything that messes with your brain chemistry, especially at your age (I'm talking biologically here, separate from maturity level) is going to screw you up for a bit. But the body is incredibly resilient and will generally come back from what you throw at it, especially if we're not talking about years and years of hard use/abuse.

Hang in there. Adolescence is hard. Sometimes it's really fucking hard. And it's a fantastic thing that you're self-aware enough to recognize these patterns; don't lose that trait. You'll probably need it again soon.
