I've had a really bad addiction to all drugs mostly but not really hard drugs since 13. Mainly opiates nearly everyday. I've had to go to rehab , therapy , inpatient treatment and support groups many many times as a minor. I'm finally an adult and I have a question that may be dumb.

I want to kick my habits. But I honestly can't do it on my own. I have really bad anxiety as well. I've tried honestly many times but gone back a lot. My main addiction is most pills. Opiates. Synthetic opiates. Benzos and barbiturates. And I combine them a lot.

I was wondering if there was a possibility of getting medication based treatment since nothing else has worked. The only issue is I haven't been into hard stuff lately. But I've have done 400mg tramadol + like 10 fioricet barbiturate pills everyday for past 3 months everyday.

I occasionally do oxy. But would my current addiction and past warrant suboxone or no because I know suboxone is only for really bad addictions. In the past I've had horrific addictions. And overdoses. Almost died from a bath salts over dose had 3 week hospitalization. Developed epilepsy.

I do want help. But I feel as if I can't do it with out medicine replacement. Especially cause my anxiety.

Learning to deal with severe anxiety without medication is possible but it doesn't happen overnight. When you are used to the instant gratification of drugs it can seem like small changes are no change at all but this is perhaps the most important shift in thinking. Find a place to learn strategies and then put them into practice. Mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy are the most successful tools in terms of anxiety so look for places to learn those. These might include a counseler, a class through your local hospital, on-line resources (Mood Gym, Mindfulness, daily meditations) etc. You are right that it is very difficult to do this on your own. You need support in the form of counseling and some kind of group that you can feel comfortable in.<3

What herbavore said is the key to really winning your fight against drugs.

Suboxone drs do prescribe for tramadol addiction. Any opiate addiction is bad enough to warrant suboxone, but keep in mind that suboxone is usually harder to come off of than the drug you are using the sub for.

Are you prescribed the tramadol by your doctor or are you getting it elsewhere? I ask because tramadol is becoming a controlled substance on 8/18/2014. It will be classified as a CIV (4) drug and no longer available from internet pharmacies so unless you are receiving this from your doctor it definitely is time to get off tramadol.

Not prescribed the tramadol but getting it in horrible ways. Ways that make me a horrible person. For the past 4 year or more. Off an on I've been stealing it from a close family member and she's caught me over 10 times and put me in rehab etc. And threatened to call cops since in adult now. And I can't quit.

I don't think my anxiety is that severe but working out, yoga and meditation seem to help controlling it.

Sub wasn't hard for me to come off of but everyone's different.

Your correct about everyone being different, and that will determine how their bodies react to the medication.

I did mean to add that a short taper would be the ideal way to go with the suboxone since this would help lessen the risk of addiction to the suboxone.
