Am I reading this right? Coffee effects Opiate receptors in some type of way?

And to help you out a lil here, I'll mention that my ASSumption is that you were thinking of a specific type or class of stimulants. If so, that may explain where you're coming from. But the term being used is "stimulant", all ya gotta do is wiki or google and you'll see caffeine is an incredibly well-documented physical/mental stimulant (that's presuming you can't notice such a thing in your own body when consuming it, and cannot extrapolate the fact from the reality of caffeine's incredible, enduring popularity as a wake-up beverage)

Alright, this doesn't belong in DiTM, TL or BDD, coffee isn't an opioid, and caffeine is a stimulant. How much of a stimulant it is, that's for you to decide.

I'll let Erowid.org do the talking here, as they're echoing what a lot of other posters have said:

Caffeine is an extremely common stimulant used daily by a large portion of the world's population. It has a long history of use and is well-documented and [well]-researched.
