Am I putting in the right place? Oxycodone withdrawals

First of all I think it is really cool about all the experiences people share on the site. I have been lingering around for about a week since I knew today was going to be my quit day. My question is twofold.

I have been taking about 60 mg of oxycodone for the last few years. I have read of some really high dosages here and I'm wondering if anybody can share their experience of the withdrawal symptoms for 60 mg habits. I just need to know how long I Will be down for the count.

And I think my real question, the one that has me scared, is how long will it be until I am back to my old self, or will I ever get there? I truly can't remember what it was like living before pills. I have been on them for about 10 years and am afraid I don't know who I am. I have a very big personality, and I definitely remember having that before the pills, the pills just made it even bigger I suppose. Will I still be that fun happy go lucky guy? What is the fastest way to build up dopamine levels naturally.

Seriously thank you to everyone, and if this is not posted in the right area please let me know so I can post in the right place.

Sorry I should have explained, always doctor prescribed for osteoarthritis in my hip and my knee. I started at 20 mg a day over the last few years I have been at 60 mg a day for the last 2 years that is why I am using that as my baseline. The reality is I don't need to be on these anymore and I have stayed on them because I fear the withdrawl symptoms because I cannot be out of work for that long if I need to be.

I think the withdrawal is generally much easier for people who were using it as prescribed opposed to recreational users. The psychological profile is just completely different, which is incredibly important. 10 years is a long time, but it's certainly manageable. I would plan on feeling like you have flu like symptoms for about a week, and within a month or so you should be feeling back to your normal self. You will definitely notice your personality and interests coming back, and it just gets better with time. You'll be really surprised to find yourself again, it's so hard to gauge just how affected you are while using opiates and doesn't become clear until much later.

Fastest way to recharge your brain chemicals is exercise, eating properly, sleeping enough, and just being active. You probably want to start up a vitamin regimen including a multi vitamin as well as additional *Folic acid and *vitamin b1 which are very important for getting your brain and digestive tract back in harmony. The most important thing is nutrients, being on opiates makes it incredibly difficult for the body to properly digest and absorb nutrients from food.

If at anytime the withdrawal gets too intense, hot baths or showers work very well to kill the symptoms. I'm sure others will chime in, i wish you the best of luck and send you good vibes. It's not easy, but it's certainly been done by many people including myself.
