I've had a really bad experience with Xanax before. It made me suicidal, so I thought I'd never take it again. But I was really stupid and decided to give it another try.

I took 4.5mg Friday night. My biggest dose before that was 3mg.

This morning, I'm feeling nauseuous, like I want to throw up. My stomach has that overfilled feeling, if that makes sense. I'm also really depressed and was thinking of suicide.

I don't feel like taking anymore xanax. In fact, the thought makes me a little more sick. But is this withdrawal, or is it something unrelated?

By the way this was the 3rd time I did it, the last time I did it was about 2 months ago.

no it cannot possibly be w/d mayb u hav some kind of allergic reaction to it or somethin just stop taking it

Good, the nauseua went away, I guess it was just something I ate. Thanks. I should have flushed them when I swore off them, but I forgot. Now I fucked up big time and I'm an idiot for it.

wel if u do evre wanna try it again how bout u take a smaller dose 4.5mg is a big dose for someone that doesnt hav a tolereance to benzos if i take 4mg im forsure knocked out maybe u got the xanax munchies n ate mad food maybe thats y ur nauseus

It's good that you don't want to continue on a path of addiction but if you do try it again definatly take a smaller dose. Also it takes a couple weeks of habitual use to develop a case where withdrawal would be experienced.

OP, I think you just took WAAAAAAY too large of a dose...I use xanax daily and if I even take 1mg, I'm real fucked...the sickness was probably caused by your body just reacting to having too much of a drug it isn't used to.

yeah..sounds like just a hangover type deal. I used to dose 90 or so mgs of temazepam 1-3 days a week, and i had absolutely withdrawl/craving at all when i quit using the shit.

Definitely not wd. Just took too much for your system to handle. I hope you never take another one. An addiction or even a dependane on benzos is the worst thing you could do short of loosing a limb, ear etc. Seriously not worth the price you will eventually have to pay in the end. There are few that get off of benzos easily. Unfortunately I'm not one of them.

you could be suffering from rebound anxiety. that can happen when the Xanax wears off and the things that cause you anxiety are now back for you to deal with again sans a benzo to make them bearable. If you're gonna take benzos to deal with anxiety, you better also use that time on the benzos to figure out how you're gonna deal with anxiety when it comes time to go off the benzos. Cuz they dont work forever. Tolerance goes up and the negative effects become worse than the original anxiety you went on benzos for in the first place!

Don't be so hard on yourself. This happens. Everyone makes mistakes; just be sure you learn from yours (and it sounds like you have). Feel better!
