Am I addicted to opiates or pregabalin

Yeah, I don't do cannabis anymore but I was obsessed with it and caned loads daily. I hated the thought of not having any. I am autistic and I thought it helped me stop meltdowns, but it really messes with you, it made me negligent and apathetic.
I'm not autistic but have severe anxiety and used to do loads of cannabis back in the day from 2011-2015, now I can't fking stand it.

I went without opiates for 10 days, to check I was not hooked, why am I still having loose bowel? thanks

It could just be something untoward like IBS or lactose intolerance, these things can develop at any stage in life. Maybe look at your diet and see if eliminating certain food groups works for you.

It's bcs wds don't really last only 5 days, depending on the dose, frequency, roa it can vary and last up to 2 to 3 weeks sometimes.

It takes time for the intestine (peripheral opioid receptors) to heal. Also yeah withdrawals last long, if you include post-acute symptoms which most forget about until one experiences it her/himself. Dissociatives help if you are able to get some of the long acting ones or memantine. Nothing, not even loperamide, comes remotely close to what they can do for opioid addiction.

I'm with my GP had tests, she is talking of a colonoscopy.

So, could I be addicted, I still use once a week.

To pregabalin most probably not, when you manage a week without it you won't be that addicted to it BUT opioids are a different beast, as I didn't stand the full withdrawal and was using memantine to get over it I can't tell for sure but I would be say yes. Specially when you remain to have loose stool. As a short time aid you might use loperamide yet that will also prolong because it's an actual opioid, just one which doesn't cross the blood brain barrier.

You might give Kratom a try, it's the only opioid I am still using and the only symptom I get from not using it is diarrhea which would be treatable by loperamide. It sucks but probably not the worst option.

So, could loperamide be keeping me addicted to opiates?
As I only use once a week, with promethazine as dihydrocoidiene doesn't last long, could I still be addicted now?
Could the promethazine keeping it in my system longer add to the addiction risk?
I use it orally.

It's a long time since I used it.

Lope won't remain your complete addiction but that part which is mediated by peripheral receptors, which are mostly found in the gut (surprise) and cause the diarrhea on withdrawal. Many have success with loperamide though and it will cause things more easy, but specially the loose stool will come back after ceasing lope. It's probably a good aid for tapering.

I guess Kratom is illegal in the UK like any possible psychoactive substance under this relatively new anti-NPS act, you might have luck by acquiring it as an ethnobotanic instead of a drug but Idk whether there are still domestic vendors.

Why will the loose stool come back after ceasing loperamide if I stay off opiates for 3 weeks?
Please also see my questions on here #30 thanks

Because loperamide IS an opioid, it just doesnt cross into the brain below certain heroic dosages (actually it gets pumped out very quickly but result is same).

So for your stomach theres little difference between lope and other opioids. Thats alao how it works, by separating the brains from tge peripheral withdrawal.

Sorry to ask for clarification, what does that mean for me?
The lope is keeping me "addicted" to opiates?
I think I used it when I had my last habit and the diarrhoea went, can't remember how long it lasted though.

Try getting some activated charcoal. Most health shops sell it.
I would, however, it reduces absorption of valium which I am on a script for.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I would, however this link says "if you rely on prescription medication, taken by mouth, you should be aware that taking activated charcoal may make your medication less effective."
