Alternative drying methods

Okay when I harvest bud and stuff from my plants I was thinking of placing them in a paper bag and letting then dry that way, but I noticed I put a few leaves in a computer game case and they are drying out nicely just by being in there. Could you dry bud like that too?
 
Well your computer case is warm and ventilated so its not a bad place but personally I wouldnt want to have plant material and humidity going around free in my precious pc
 
You could use something hydroscopic like magnesium sulfate, i use it for shrooms just make sure you keep it raised because you dont want it in your bud.

Look up some of the mushroom teks and they have pretty good methods, but im not sure if this is scalable to weed.

Also you might want to look into a food dehydrator, you can set it 80oc and then do it that way. Might come out very dry.

put it in a glass mason jar in a dark place with the lid slightly iipen and perodically burp the jar...........this will make a huge differance and is much better than any other metod in my opinion
 
put the harvest in a closet with a dehumidifier. check every so often until it is as dry as you like.

it maybe takes a day or 2 with this method, as opposed to 3-5 days just letting it sit there in a bag.
 
Yeah the leaves dried out perfectly, I smoked them and they burned good (for leaves) so I dunno if bud would dry in it, or it would take awhile, but it does dry out if in there long enough.
 
Water... cures... what?
He wants to dry his weed... not make it more wet? Maybe I'm missing something.

mason jar can be closed-lid too. burping the jars a few times a day (i think it's like every 8 hours) that way is the best way to dry bud tho. check out some threads at rollitup.org...it's got all the best answers on growing/curing cannabis.
