i wake up with a bar most days, im looking to reduce my tolerance....

I used to feel zero anxiety with just one mg of xanax, now im at 2-3mg.......kinda sucks....

Does dxm help at all??

The most effective way for me to lower my benzodiazepine tolerance, is to taper down slowly to a lower dose, and wait until my body adjusts to it.

I don't think DXM will lower your tolerance, and I'm not sure if it's wise to combine it with benzodiazepines. Someone else will confirm that though.

DXM will not be dangerous in combination with the alprazolam, but it won't help tolerance so the point is moot

Be careful when you take tolerance breaks, or even reduce your dose, to avoid dangerous withdrawal symptoms.

Yea theres no secret to reducing tolerance with benzodiazepines.

Take a break from them, and extended one, and your tolerance will be much lower. That's all there is to it, as with most other drugs.

If you are at a really high dose and are afraid of seizures, then titrate slowly.

You guys are certainly right about taking a break, but for chronic benzodiazepine users sometimes that can't be accommodated since it's basically quitting. Lowering the dose for me however allows my tolerance to somewhat drop which is especially noticeable when I jack my dose back up to the one I tapered from.

xanax sucks; alprazolam lasts 3-4hrs then i crash ending up even more anxious. try ativan or klonopin for general anxiety. xanax should just be used for panic attacks/phobias

Xanax does indeed suck for the long term, although it is the best party / fuck you up benzo : P
It is the crack of benzos, once you get addicted to them you either dose every 4-5 hours or agree to live in hell.

I love them but I have od'd twice from using xanax and dope together, and I don't recommend it. It makes me do less dope but for some reason I crave coke. But I eat two bars and I'm good.
