I'm going to visit a friend in who lives on Avenue B, near 2nd street I believe, although I haven't been to that area in years. I know this used to be an open air heroin market in the 70's and 80's, I was wondering if it still is. I remember in the early 80's riding down Ave B with someone and having to run a red light because I stopped, and dealers were approaching our cars, and they didn't look to friendly. I understand it's been cleaned up a bit as of late, and there's a lot of bars and shit to go to. So anyway, just looking for the lowdown on the area, I can't really ask my friend because he's not into dope very much.
