Allergic reaction while abusing codeine

Hi @Sadie they were the generic version Piriteze 4mg from a Lloyd's chemist. The active ingredient is chlorphenamine maleate. They certainly did the trick, but I didn't keep taking them every 4hrs at first. The morning after, my face had swelled even worse. I then took them four hourly for the next 2 days until I was sure the reaction had been neutralized.

It was a stupid thing to do tbf as I'd not taken codeine phosphate for a while. Although I do take other opiate meds (legitimately prescribed for a lifelong illness) daily, so thought I could top up with codeine to get a one off buzz for the day...

Lesson was definitely learned lol.

Sidenote: I learned about the body making histamine when converting codeine to morphine from this site, the discussions you guys have really do help out other ppl.

Edit; apologies for the days between posting I keep finding myself unexpectedly busy atm.
