Allergic Reaction to MDMA or a Strawberry?

me and 3 of my friends all took molly from the same supplier. we got it in clear capsules, it was a white powder, filled 3/4 of the way (.3 grams). we took it on the line waiting to get in and started to feel it when we got into the ballroom around 9:30. (we tasted it, it was bitter as it should be). i was having the fucking time of my life everything was beautiful. the only things i did was drink water and chew gum. it wore off after about 3 hours and we went home when it was over. i was feeling absolutely fine. i got home and ate one strawberry and then fell asleep at 1:30AM. at 2:30AM i woke up with hives all over my body- arms, back, legs, swollen lip, itchy ears, back of my head was itchy, throat was closing. my sister ran out to CVS and got me liquid allergy medicine, i took it and in 5 minutes my throat was opening up and the itching was disappearing.

That was my first time trying molly, i have never done E before. I have eaten strawberries my whole life with absolutely no problem, and probably ate some strawberries about a week before that night.

Any input on what people think caused it would be great. i would love to know becuase i would love to come in contact with my friend Molly again =]

Being allergic to mdma is rare.. Like 2 in 100,000. I wouldn't consume anymore mdma for now.. Maybe the strawberry was infected? If you've been eating strawberries your whole life with no problems then maybe something you are allergic to could have contaminated the strawberry.
 
best not to mention events for legal reasons, anyway it is irrelevant to the question

alergic reactions are hard to guess. it could have been an hericide or pesticide on the strawberry, it could have been the gum, it could have been the molly or a cutting agent. no real way to tell except to expose yourself again to each element and see if it happens
 
You said you tested the taste of it and it was bitter? Usually this would have shown any possible (but not all) allergic reactions to the MDMA.
 
yeah we put a tiny bit on our tounges to see if it tasted bitter and it did, no allergic reaction at that time though

I have never ever heard of someone having an allergic reaction to mdma. In fact I seem to remember the DEA coming in here and explaining why its not possible.

Strawberries on the other hand are a well known culprit for causing bad reactions.

The only two other possibilities are if either the mdma or the strawberry was contaminated with something that could cause a reaction or if maybe its possible that the use of mdma makes the body more likely to have a bad reaction to the strawberry.
 
If it was an allergic reaction to the mdma, you would have felt it at the beginning. Maybe the strawberry was contaminated with something. Maybe it was in contact with peanuts and you're allergic to those? Something along that line (even if it isn't peanuts, it could be anything).
 
I highly doubt that you had an allergic reaction to the MDMA. I think, (total guess), that you would have experienced the allergic reaction while on the MDMA, and not on the comedown.
 
No one here can answer any of your questions.

We do not know if the drug you had is in fact mdma, and what else is in it. I would say better safe than sorry.
