A sample reputed, though not verified, to be 2C-D was tested with marquis. It was obtained from a reliable source. Little reaction resulted. First, a barely discernable salmon-red reaction initially occurred. Sitting next to this marquis/alleged 2C-D solution was a reference drop of marquis with nothing added to it. Twenty minutes later, the reaction has taken on a slight yellow hue. Again, the change is minimal and you have to look closely to notice the difference.

At the same time, I tested a reputed sample of 2C-T-21. This batch of 2C-T-21 has not been personally evaluated by me, but others who have tried it report effects and dosages that are consistent with PIHKAL’s description of 2C-T-21.

Twenty minutes later, the marquis/2C-21 looks slightly reddish/brown, but the color change is only slight. There is very little difference between that and the reference drop of the marquis solution. Again, I do not know if this is really 2C-T-21, but I do suspect it is based on what others who have tried it have said. It came from a very reliable source.

Also at the same time, I tested known samples of 2C-B, 2C-I, and 2C-E to verify that the marquis was still fresh. These samples have been previously tested by gas chromatography/mass spectrum analysis and are known to be authentic. The samples reacted with the marquis as expected. The 2C-B almost immediately turned a forest green. The 2C-I initially went yellow, then brown, then a lime green similar to the 2C-B, but lighter. The 2C-E produced virtually no reaction to the marquis. Perhaps it looks a bit darker.

I will add to this if I personally evaluate these alleged samples of 2C-D and 2C-T-21, or at least provide a link to any reports I may write.

I think so too! Have you tried testing your 2ct21 with mecke?
i have the idea that it has to do with the 4 position and the way it is substituted with 2cd. there's really not much there to condensate with... my guess is that 2ch will not work with marquis either.

No, I've never used Simon's, Robadope, Meche because there is no information on what other 4-substituted phenethylamines (other than 2C-B) react with it. So there would be nothing to compare it too. Maybe one day I'll get everything out and test them all with a variety of solutions and make notes of what happens. But as for now, I'll just stick to marquis.
