Hey everybody, so today I was prescribed 27mg of what was thought to be Concerta. Turns out, the label on the prescription bottle reads "NOVO-METHYLPHENIDATE ER-C 27MG". Now, after some hours of researching, I found out that in some portions Canada, ConceraTM is being swapped for this new novo-methylphenidate er-c also referred to as 'generic concerta'. I want to crush and convert these Extended Release capsules to IR, but cannot find ANY posts on how to do so. Some information on the pill is listed below:

The 27mg pill is blue with an "N" on one side, and a "27" on the other. A comparison of the "generic concerta" otherwise known as "NOVO-METHYLPHENIDATE ER-C" and the branded concerta is depicted below:

Judging by the first link, I guess these would be considered extended release, and comparable to the Ritalin SR tablets, which would give the possibility of creating an IR effect using the ol' crushing method. The main problem is, these new pills are constructed very differently than the usual Concerta capsules which have the brown/green sponge along with the white and yellow portions under the gel coating. Earlier, I attempted using the steps below:
1. Placed pill under tongue until blue coating dissolved (1-2 minutes)
2. A thick gooey film was left covering the remainder of the tablet
3. At this point, if using a normal Concerta pill, there would be the separate compartments visible under the clear gooey coating. Nope. ALL WHITE. Every single bit.
4. I decided to scrape off all of the gooey coating, revealing an opaque, white pill.
5. Cut the pill in half (width wise) to glance at what was inside. WHITE. The pill was white all the way through.
6. Crushed both ends of the tablet into a fine power which was still completely white with no distinguishable compartments for specified functions.
7. I said fuck it and placed all of the finely crushed powder under his tongue expecting to bypass the extended release and for the power to dissolve. It didn't.
8. Within 5 minutes, the white powder was now a thick, gooey, clear ball of sludge under my tongue and stuck to teeth.
9. Spat that shit out.
Has anybody ever dealt with this type of methylphenidate before and have a 'set in stone' process for converting to IR that actually proves to work? I have never seen this pill before and is very confused by the single white colour throughout the pill. Below is a picture I took of the pill before crushing.
