Using Alka Seltzer before my Dexedrine today... But... It contains 1000mg Citric Acid along with the 1916mg Sodium Bicarbonate I desire.

Would the Citric Acid thus decrease its ant-acid effects? This is a very confusing discovery for me lol.

EDIT: Also... Somewhat off-topic question... Sublingual administration of the Dexedrine isn't affected by acidity, correct? What about acidic vitamins (Vitamin C) in system?

The citric acid is there to react with the sodium bicarbonate to form sodium citrate and carbon dioxide, causing the fizz. All the citric acid reacts but the overall product is still an antacid so I presume some sodium bicarb remains.. whatever the mechanism (never thought about it before, haha) it still increases the pH in your stomach which is what you want.

You are right thinking that sublingual administration would not be affected by stomach pH, however any that dissolved in your saliva and you swallowed would.
