burn out said:i only drink about once a week, usually from 12-16 beers. id drink a lot more than that if not for my stomach problems. sometimes i drink and my stomach will feel arlight the next day so i think its alright to drink again, then ill drink again and my stomach will hurt for several days.
panic_in_paradise said:this might be an explanation for your problem burnout, non chronic(hehe) pancreatitis:
Alcohol is responsible for about 30% of all cases of acute pancreatitis in the US. Approximately 10% of patients with chronic alcohol consumption can develop episodes of acute pancreatitis.
my wife has this problem, she can get away with guiness ocasionaly but a few sips of wine, ale/beer, or spirits and she has the stomach pain you described.

yeah ive read about pancreatitus, is there a cure for it besides not drinking? i can cut back on drinking, i just dont want to stop completely.

I was a huge drinker/everyday for about 2 1/2 years ~ I had had stomach problems also but not like the ones you describe.
Get checked out and take it from there but try and stay positive and perform any tasks you can think of ~ no matter how small!, you might end up finding something that you enjoy more than drinking, but I know it's bloody hard!
GOOD LUCK
Hope that all gets sorted xxx

all i could find about MJ and stomach pain is that it can pain can occur as a withdrawl symptom. my guess to why that would happen is pot releves, and relaxes the stomach. after smoking frequently over time your stomach doesnt have pot to help it relax so it kind of goes into shock from sort of, forgetting how to on its own.
i have never had that problem though, and i smoke as much as possible.

Well, that was obvious; I ended up coming-to with my face nested within a bowl of ice-cold chips that had been piping-hot when I'd first met them...
I'll try to avoid this behavior in future, because it's dangerous and embarassing, and I would rather remain conscious during the day. There's no way I can afford to just mess things up-up-up due to benzodiazepines and alcohol combinations.
