Alcohol

If you're 24 hrs in and only have anxiety are you pass the worst?
It really depends on your total drinking history...
How much have you been drinking?

How long have you been drinking for?

In an average week, how many days do you drink?

In an average day, what time do you start drinking?

What's the most you might drink in a day?

What's the most you might drink in a week?

Have you ever experienced withdrawals before?

Alcohol withdrawals is variant for everyone - Some people have no withdrawals symptoms while others have seizures, nightmarish hallucinations, elevated blood pressure, sweats, insomnia etc. In medical detoxes, withdrawal is tracked by taking a series of blood pressure readings and looking for other markers of withdrawal symptoms - it is then treated using (typically) a long-acting benzodiazepine like diazepam (valium) or chlordiazepoxate (librium) or lorazepam (ativan). Medication is used to reduce symptoms to a mangeable level and then slowly tapered over time.

If you have a blood pressure cuff, it'd be wise to measure your blood pressure and note if it seems abnormally elevated (160/100 or greater)

Are you using any medications to assist with withdrawal?

Typically drink few drinks a night for few weeks and stop for week or two and start again. Have withdrawal for few days, but shakes or vomiting, seizure, etc.
Just bad anxiety and sweats.

So I wouldn't expect it to get way worse but you'll probably be able to get a sense tomorrow if it escalates/plateaus/decreases - In my experience working with folks detoxing from alcohol, 24 hours is sort of the point where things either escalate or fade away.

In my experience your fine. I was dead scared I'd withdrawal so hard, but the worst of it was half a day being very nauseas and extreme anxiety with sweats, 24 hours in was just anxiety. By day 3 I was completely fine but extremely hungry and tired.

Of course everyone is different though
