Sorry if this has been discussed over. I'm an opioid abuser, particular Methadone. I have successully combined alcohol with Methadone many times without many ill effects. Increased sedation and loss of inibitions, although nausea and light headedness may occur if you overdo the alcohol.

I've always been quite scared of combining even low dose benzo's on the other hand probably due to lack of experience. I'm talking for example the same amount of intoxication from say Etizolam Vs Alcohol. I'm always very hesitant to dose Opioids even after the initial intoxication has worn off for fear of potentiation which really should be insignificant, i plan to dose low with the opioid anyway. More than likely irrational fears.

Is the potentiation from Benzo's more unpredictable then Alcohol or does it all come down to tolerance and experience?

That fear and apprehension you're having is logic trying to take over. You know it's a bad idea, and now you're looking for someone else to tell you that it's ok. Stick with your gut and do not combine opioids and benzos.

This was posted a couple days ago, and about 10000 times before that: http://www.bluelight.org/vb/threads/746528-Goddammit-how-many-times-do-we-have-to-say-it!

Thanks for the link, i've seen it before hand my self and i hope she's ok. I am not about to combine 3 different depressants at high doses, i'm contemplating taking a low dose opioid after the main effects of a moderate dose of Etizolam. I've been way more intoxicated with alcohol and combined higher doses i'm just curious about how unpredictable Benzodiazepines are VS Alcohol. No reassurance, i wouldn't want that shit on anyone's conscious.

Before anyone replies, I've done it. Will post subjective differences later.

Why did you ask then?

No point in trying to help you. I'm out, good luck.

I simply asked whether Benzodiazepines are more unpredictable then Alcohol. Good go, you apparently can't read a full post.

I'm sorry if this is a pointless post with an easy answer but i genuinely do not know and will not be using the answer as justification of further abuse. This is just bad timing dosing the Etizolam today. I regret giving my background of my situation which screams the need for reassurance but if someone with experience with what i'm talking about can just give his experience and answer my question without giving direct advice to myself i'd appreciate it. I've gone through with it anyway, at this point i'm only interested in what i asked in my OP, nothing more.
