Only problem with this is that I'm 17 and still go to the pediatrician...I can't imagine how awkward that would be to have that conversation with my doctor: "So, I know I'm four years shy of legally being able to drink, but I've been doing it for a while now and I think I have some sort of allergies to it!"

Oh gosh by 17 I was already receiving drug counselling from my GP. You're allowed to make your own appointments at the doctor at that age, I've been going to the doc by myself since I was 15. They might give you a lecture, but really, they want to help you, not turn you away because you're not of legal age yet.
