Alcohol extraction for mix drink w/ cannabis

So last night I took about a gram of weed, and a bunch of vaped weed and put it in with a small ammount of everclear. I shook it up all night and all day today at at like 1:00 I strained it out and mixed it with some soda. I am about to drink it, and was just wondering, THC is soluable in alcohol... but I thought THCA had to be converted to THC to be active? So how does this work?

If you use vaped weed, it will already have been converted by the heat of the vaporizer.

And good luck getting it down, vaped weed solutions taste pretty gross, imo.

I dont have any experience with the THCA>THC bit, but I do know you need to wait longer than a single day for your green dragon to mature. You need at least a week for it, though most people advise 2 weeks. Id hold off on drinking it until its had some time to do its thing. If you do wait, I wouldnt drink the whole thing at one time either. I dont know how much vapor poop you added to the gram of weed, but you likely have yourself more than a single dose. You figure a gram+ smoked is way more than enough to get high (if your weed doesnt suck). Then you take into account that eating/drinking THC often gets you higher than smoking it. Just my 2 cents.

The decarboxylation of thc-a into thc is more important with fresh bud, because with vaped weed, it has already been heated enough to trigger this process.

The normal process for decarbing fresh weed is to heat it in an oven at about 120°C before adding it to the butter/oil, but vaporizers often operate closer to 200°C, so the weed has already gone through this process.
