Alcohol Affecting Hydrocodone/Oxycodone Metabolism?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed that the effects of hydrocodone/oxycodone seem different if taken the day after heavy drinking or if hungover.
Could this be a result of alcohol's altering of liver enzymes levels? Perhaps depletion or induction of certain enzymes, causing hydrocodone/oxycodone's metabolites to appear in different ratios? Perhaps less hydrocodone/oxycodone is metabolized into hydromorphone/oxymorphone respectively (implying a depletion of CYP2D6 maybe, or perhaps merely an induction of other enzymes besides CYP2D6).
Or could it simply be due to alcohol's negative physical effects on the body (dehydration, exhaustion, etc.) causing the effects of opiates to be less euphoric?

The effects of hydrocodone/oxycodone seem to be less euphoric, less sedating, and more "dirty feeling" (similar in my experience to the dirty opiate-esque effects of tramadol). I feel more "on edge" and agitated than usual, and maybe a mild level of akathisia -- effects which in my experience come standard with epileptogenic opiates like tramadol.

Seems like you answered it yourself.

I myself experience a lot of uncomfortable effects dosing on opiates within 24-48 hours of any alcohol.
