In my mind. The choices are many, the consequences
I didn't get a number but my last blood test showed my liver enzymes high. Dr said we'll re-test in 2 months :/ That's the ahh crap part of this post.
The next part is obviously I know no more APAP (even tho he said some is fine) but what about Ibuprofen? I forgot to ask. And (big) if I decide to try my Tramadol again for pain, what does that have? APAP,Ibuprofen or other? Thanks!

Some formulations of Tramadol have APAP (Ultracet being one of them, I think). You should check your tramadol bottle. It will say if it has APAP in it or not.

Ibuprofen is metabolized by the kidneys IIRC...

Ibuprofen doesn't damage your liver (not in the amounts you would take anyway, can't speak for crazy-high doses!) so don't worry about that. APAP can, obviously, but there are many other causes of elevated liver enzymes. Sometimes it is a normal variation (which is why doctors often wait and re-test if they aren't too high) so try not to worry too much - but I would limit your alcohol and APAP intake for the time being.

Tramadol is a drug itself, it doesn't contain anything else. It can be found in tablets with APAP (Ultracet) but usually it doesn't contain APAP or ibuprofen. Check the packaging if you are unsure :)

I hope your next test is okay :)

Thank you both! My bottle says Tramadol (generic for Ultram).
Obviously my prior test was a bit high too but he had never mentioned that til today.
At first he's like oh it's high but you have hepatitis right? WHAT?! HELL NO!!! Really?! Ugh, so after I corrected him he's like well it was high before, but it's a little more elevated. We'll test it again in 2 months.
I was frustrated! My A1C is up to 7 too :/ Equal to a daily average 150 bgl.
Anyway, thanks. I take 800 Ibuprofen every 6 hrs or as needed.

I wouldn't worry about the test results too much. As effie said, a variation is normal. Since your bottle just says Tramadol (Ultram) - your Tramadol doesn't contain any APAP.

800mg ibuprofen every six hours shouldn't be a problem.

As effie mentioned, its probably best to avoid using alcohol or drugs containing APAP for the time being. Or, at the very least, reduce your intake as much as possible.

Should note that Ibuprofen tends to cause more problems with stomach ulcers and bleeding than the other NSAIDs though, so keep an eye out for that.

^ indeed, kidneys too - should be fine if used as directed, but if you notice any stomach pain, indigestion, black/tarry stools or if you take ibuprofen while dehydrated (eg if you have a fever) then be careful and get yourself checked out.

I'm a little confused. Just wondering, what does your A1c have to do with your liver function test? I know what both of the are but why did he test for both? The 7 isn't too terribly bad. They prefer it to be less than 7 but still good.

I would deffinenly drink plenty of water to flush your body out. Maybe 8-10 glasses with 8 ounces in each everyday. This will help flush glucose out of your body as well of your organs. You will feel so much better too.

There are food that can help cleanse you liver. Some are the foods are garlic, beets, carrots, green tea, leafy greens, avocados, olive oil, whole grains, broccoli, Lemons, limes, walnuts, Cabbage, and turmeric. I got this list of food off this web site: http://www.globalhealingcenter.com/natural-health/liver-cleanse-foods/
They have a detailed explanation of what these foods do.
