(AH-7921 / 100 mg) - 2nd Attempt - Two Parts Pleasure with a Dash of "Hmmm"

Just thought I'd write up a trip report since this chemical seems to be pretty rare. Hopefully someone will find it useful.

BACKGROUND
I was able to procure a couple grams of this rare material from a trusted friend and was stoked to try it. I am a long-time opiate fan, though the only opiate-like drug I currently take is kratom in low doses a few times a week. I tested out some AH-7921 on one other occasion during mild Percocet withdrawal and was not impressed. Other opiates I've used in the past include propoxyphene, codeine, dihydrocodeine, loperamide, hydrocodone, oxycodone and poppy pods.

DOSING
I administered the AH-7921 in ~25 mg doses over the course of an hour (gradually building to 100 mg). 2 doses were taken sublingually (ouch!) and 2 were taken orally with water.

FIRST DOSE: +25 mg – Orally ingested. No effects noted.

SECOND DOSE: +25 mg – Sublingually dosed. Tastes weird and burns slightly. After about 15 minutes, mild euphoric effects set in. (Very mild, I didn’t even realize I felt good until I remembered taking it). I put on some music and exercised enthusiastically for a few minutes. The first clue that I was altered came when I felt no pain during exercise and was able to push on much longer than usual. I decided to put on some tator tots (healthy, I know) and returned to my room to re-dose.

THIRD DOSE: +25 mg – Orally ingested. Ate some food with this dose and hopped on the web. Mild visual changes set in along with strange but not unpleasant head sensations. My body feels slightly “numb” for lack of a better word. Definite mood lift is noted while watching Jesse Ventura on CNN. Typical opiate relaxation hits after about 15 minutes but is very mild and non-sedating.

FOURTH DOSE: +25 mg – Sublingually dosed. As this final dose starts to break down under my now-sore tongue, I begin to see what this compound is really capable of. My mood is brilliant. I feel compelled to type up this report and do so in a short amount of time. AH seems to fall somewhere between oxycodone and poppies on the stimulation/sedation scale. My mind is stimulated but my body feels warm and relaxed. I feel no pain despite vigorous exercise and the weird posture I've been sitting in for the past hour.

CONCLUSION/SUMMARY
AH-7921 is indeed a unique compound, not just because it's hard to find. It's an effective painkiller and mood booster that has some familiar opiate feelings and some strange sensations that are hard to pinpoint. It didn't seem to help my Percocet withdrawal the first time I took it, but I didn't really expect it to. This second experiment was much more successful, which is normally how drugs affect me. (I didn't get high off weed until my 6th time smoking. Same with opiates and alcohol).

I would recommend AH-7921 to anyone looking for a mellow mood boost and pain relief. Be warned: If you regularly slam bags of H or pop Dilaudid with your Pop Tarts every morning, you'll probably find it worthless. There are definitely more potent RC opiates out there, but I'm not interested in potency. I'm interested in learning about the unique "character" of different opiates and what they might be used for. In terms of potency, AH-7921 is somewhere between Darvocet (weak and alien-feeling) and codeine (mild but genuine opiate buzz).

Been hearing about this one for quite some time. Thanks for the data.

What would you consider the potency to be compared to that of morphine? Sounds pretty close.

You mentioned Darvocet in comparison, does that include the nasty side effects propoxyphene is notorious for? If you've had the opportunity to take O-desmethyl-tramadol as well, how would the two stack up?

As I'm to understand, though novel and interesting the stuff may be, that the consensus is that the cost of the material (we'll leave it at that not getting into pricing here) wasn't worth the payoff psychoactively. I don't have any experience personally with these newer opiods (not a big fan) but my interest is piqued nonetheless. Thanks for the report.

^ Thanks! I haven't personally tried morphine (other than that found in poppy pods) so I can't say for sure. I know Darvocet was pulled for causing serious heart-related problems, but I never got any noticeable side effects from it myself. Was just speaking in terms of potency when I compared the two.

Never tried 0-desmethyltramadol (or regular tramadol for that matter) so I can't compare. I've heard it's more powerful than AH by people who have tried both, so 0-dt is probably a better deal moneywise. Thing is, most people interested in opiates already have a sky-high tolerance and are looking for the next heroin. Those people will be sorely disappointed with AH-7921.
 
how would you say it compares to kratom? kratom kind of has a unique buzz as well. In terms of moodlift, energy and relaxation is AH-7921 stronger than kratom (in subjective effects, not potency)?
 
Good question! I'd say it's pretty similar to the Thai kratom I've tried (granted I only use kratom in low doses of 1-5 grams at a time--most users require far more). Potency of AH vs kratom is strongly dose-dependent, but they do have the same "character" if you will. AH is strangely stimulating and sedating at the same time, much like kratom.

I'd like to see how AH interacts with other substances like kratom or stimulants. Maybe that will be my next experiment :)

Thanks, THC. I take low doses of various stimulants daily, so if I did it would be a very low dose. (I had taken a miniscule amount of 2-FMA about 4 hours prior to this trip report).

I saw one story where someone combined etizolam with AH and nearly died, so combos are definitely risky. AH is so mild that it gives a false sense of security when we really don't know how it will react with other drugs. Thanks for the reminder.
 
Should have some AH soon, if people are looking for comparisons between O-DT/other opi's and it like I myself would gave loved to get an indepth feel for before having the AH, I will most definitely make a TR labeled to the effect of something like "AH-7921, Comparisons between AH/various Opi's!" or something like that if that is the right format(i'll check before postings mods....!;)). Thanks for this TR as well, not many for AH and always damn glad to have any let alone one for more obscure chems pop up in the TR's!<3

AH-7921 seems to have a somewhat long half-life and is, at least for me, a very sedating opioid-rc. I felt lingering after-effects even in the following day after dosing 100mg split in two doses in the early evening, and since there's absolutely no research available atm, i would advise against combinations - especially with stimulants/dissociatives/benzos and their analogues, like etizolam.

People should keep in mind that experimentation is nothing bad if done properly, but mixing two unresearched compounds of different nature is no good.

That's interesting you found it so sedating, THC. My only after-effect was a mild feeling of dehydration the following day that I get with all opiates. Definitely wouldn't advise combining it with other stuff, depressants especially. (When I say a I took a small amount of 2-FMA, I mean like 2-3 mg. So REALLY small lol). I try to stick to one chem at a time, if only to get a good reading on its true effects. And it's obviously safer that way %)
 
I've found it very sedating, but i'm usually vaping some weed in the evening which amplifies the effect of opioids very drastically (at least for me).
 
I posted over in the RC thread saying exactly what Lady Codone discoverd. This opioid only reveals its true character at doses over 100mg. Ilove the stuff.
 
in my - current (150mg oral) - experience the "true character" of this compound is a mix of a dissociative (lacking almost all mindfuck) and an opioid (lacking almost all euphoria). adding a (threshold-)dose of a real dissociative like ketamine is indeed pleasant. keeping focus (mentally and visually) is difficult.
it's a strange drug. still don't know if I like it. it's certainly not unpleasant but kinda "useless".

I plan to go out now (been doing that for 2h now - also trademark for this compound..) and have a few beers. I bet it gets euphoric.
