against legalization?

someone in my class says he is against the legalization of MJ because they tried a medical version of it, which was legal. He tried it and says in comparison to some of the illegal stuff he has bought it just pales. The high wasn't as good. So I was wondering if anyone could relate, or felt the same way? Do you prefer the illicit stuff bought on the streets or the 'legal' version. Is there any difference to it?

Never actually tried the plant before, just curious.

I haven't experienced legally grown 'medicinal marijuana'.

Good question though. I'm interested to see what people write.
 
Ya medical marijuana is known for bein bomb! I'm surprised your friend didn't like it, unless it wasn't legit medical marijuana..
 
So your friend says he's against the legalization of marijuana because he likes street grass better? He does understand that he can be procecuted under federal law for buying "superior" street weed while it remains illegal right? 8)
 
i think your friend is one of the reasons it should be legal. he said compared to hard shit its nothing. well if it is so weak put it on the market just like alcohol and tobacco.

tell your friend to smoke better weed btw. idc if he says it was legally grown

i've met many people against legalization, but never for this reason.
 
Just because the mj was grown by the gov't does not make it legal. You must have a prescription for mj use for it to be legal.
Now, I can see why your friend would want bud to stay illegal so he can smoke pharmacal grown mj because it's bomb....Buuuuuttttt..... if it becomes legal there will be companies that will grown bud just as good if not better than the pharmacal "Cali Kush for headaches"

no. privately-grown dispensary herbs may be good shit, but often they are grown with no license to do so. federally-grown med herb must be what's in question here because that has been described as garbage by anyone who has tried it.

first and foremost, herb is a plant, which means the buds are going to be influenced by the care taken in growing the plant. odds are if it were legal, companies would be mass producing plants with no care given to the individual plant. hence, bad buds. or if they were sold as joints like the federally grown herb, it would probably be even worse since plenty of thc is separated from the plant matter when it's being ground up.

in the end, true potheads would just seek privately grown nugs as they currently do, in the fashion that health nuts seek organically grown produce instead of the mass-produced garbage

This is totally it.

Theyve done tests on some of the government stuff from canada and found below 2% thc levels with mold present as well.

Most medically licensed go to dispensaries which have many different options as to product, but also dont necessarily have to buy from licensed growers.


Most people against legalization are profiting off its illegal status, which you cant blame them for.

I think you could still get good bud if it was legalized cause they could issue licenses to cafe's and growers much like in places where it is legal. Right now the government doesnt stand to profit that much of pot, but once they can, or realize the potential theyd start taking care of their product.
 
I'm against legalization for public consumption until the recession is over. Right now would be a bad time to hurt the cartels when they are already hurting bad - it wouldn't be fair right now.
 
Maybe your friend got a weak strain of Medical Marijuana.


I believe they have different strains and strengths depending on what it is being used for.

Maybe he is used to getting prime street weed, and got weak weed from who ever supplied him with the medical marijuana.

Now that you mention it i totally bet the gov. is definitly the type of grower to keif the buds before selling them & then probably uses the thc/resin for marinol to maximize profit.. Commercial growers suckk for this reason as well(not to mention their insistence upon growing indicas).
