sharp tune of discord marked by red
unfinished picture in my head
the years have curled the edges under
the paint rots with the vision
the pains color is dampened,
but the shade remains the same
what brings me back to this never finished glory?
... I'm reliving the story
the feeling that once burned this image
now just a scar.
as all past burns are
any change now might ruin the masterpiece
nothing left to finish it now but ruin itself
as it fades
as it diminishes
the creator stands still in silence
fading after the canvas
