Afobazol - novel russion benzodiazepine

I had to click on this thread because I'm interested in anything that's novel and Russian... except perhaps for a Russian novel, can't stand Dostoevsky

lol @ above 2 posts

This sounds really interesting. I wonder how available the substance is already. Benzos are nice social drugs for me but I hate how I get tired and most of all how they fuck up my memory. There's no point in having a nice time if later people will give you weird looks because you don't remember being told whatever.

The substance is not a benzodiazepine, which the OP affirms also despite the header.

I'm guessing from the structure it has an affinity for some 5HT receptors.

It sounds similar to an SSRI in overall anxiolytic effect at first glance. The receptor affinities talked about are generally pretty low, considering the tablet formulation of 10mg.

Yeah i beleive that this stuff is way underdosed. I beleive it would have acute effects when dosed correctly since its a sigma agonist.

the only piece of historical info i know about AMT is the passage from tihkal where shulgin says it was a prescription AD in the soviet union in the 1960s - was it discovered/used medically in france? if so could you provide a source for the info (not that i dont believe you, im just interested)

Phenazepam is about as enjoyable as lorazepam, but much longer lasting and FAR more amnestic....

The russians probably have invented some interesting opioids....

Take control of an opera theatre full of hostages and I'm sure the Russians will once again dish out the 'intresting' if abit too strong opioids!
