Interesting about the TMT. Nope, never tried it or heard of it, and certainly never seen it available.
As for AET, I don't know much about the metabolism of tryptamines, but I'm thinking it's just harder for the body to break down the alpha-methyl group than it is to break down the alpha-ethyl group. If I'm not mistaken, alpha-ethylphenethylamine is also shorter acting and gentler than alpha-methylphenethylamine (amphetamine).
