Advise for first time mushroom user

Soup guise,
I recently did LSD and had a pretty profound experience; at one with the world/nature and seeing through the hundreds of layers of, for lack of a better word, bullshit in human society. Didn't have very many hallucinations, but closed eye visuals were pretty strong. Was tripping for about 20hrs.

I'm probably going to do mushrooms in the near future, and was just wondering if you had any advise on what I should expect. How similar are shrooms to LSD, if at all? My friends say it's a 'darker' experience, would you agree?. What's the body high like? What's the best way to take them? Any occuring mind sets/philosophies on life, the universe and everything? Just anything of relevence if you so please.
