Hey Guys, I'm new here at bluelight. I hope Im not breaking any rules. I have trouble with computers and it was really hard for me to even figure out how to post. Im looking for advice on Tramadol withdrawals. I have been using 600 mg a day for 3 years. When I stop I get severe anxiety, Panic attacks, horrible bone-crushing depression. Along with all the other opiate withdrawal effects, nausea, diarhea, sweats, rls, aches. I've kicked oxycodone, Kratom tincture and hydrocodone. For me, tramadol is worse because of the effects. Tramadol acts like an anti-depressant for me, its the best thing Ive ever found for depression. I think thats why the withdrawals are so nasty. Any advice on a plan or drugs/ medication/ supplement for quitting this stuff? Thank you all very much for your consideration.

Welcome PlantEater!

I know of a solution that actually fits your name quite well, but it definitely works better for some people than others. I have a couple friends who used to be addicted to opiates (one on oxycodone, another tramadol), and they both kicked their habits by switching to cannabis edibles. It gives them the pain relief and peace of mind that they're looking for, albeit not to the same degree as the opiate. But they've been able to stop taking several pills a day, which they at one point thought was going to be a lifelong routine for them.

I'm not suggesting marijuana as a substitute, since everyone reacts to every drug differently and I'm no doctor (and it might go against the forum rules), but if it's legal where you live, it might be worth a shot.

Hey guys, thanks you for the warm welcome. I appreciate your edibles recommendation, unfortunately my state is horrible on cannabis laws and I have no contacts for it. Thank you anyway!
