advice about zoloft and hydrocodone/oxycodone

Hello. I have been taking hydocodone and oxycodone daily for over 5 years. I really want to quit but every time I do the depression I get is unbearable and I relapse simply because I can't deal with it. I went to my doctor a few weeks ago and she prescribed me zoloft (Sertraline) for my depression. I have never told her I am on opiates and I don't plan on telling her. I plan on withdrawing in the beginning of March. I want to start taking the zoloft now so by the time I am in withdrawl from the opiates I already have it in my system. I've never taken any antidepressant before so I am not sure if it is okay to start it now. I have looked up the drug interactions online and some say its okay and some say mild interactions. I just want to know from other people if this method will work? Can I take zoloft and norco without issues? Again I am not going to tell my doctor so that is not an option. I really want to quit, I have before for a few months and the depression was really the only thing that made me go back.

I am a long time user of Zoloft and have not found it interacts with opiates. It has, however, been very beneficially for depression.
