Um, like, isn't there a movie called like, "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," about adrenochrome and stuff? They say it's like really factually accurate and stuff.

I heard that if you spend all your younger years going to the movies, then when you grow up and stuff then you'll be a lot smarter than everybody else, especially in Advanced Organic Chemistry Discussion Forums.

There is a whole chapter dedicated to adrenochrome in Hoffer and Osmond's Hallucinogens book. It is definitely psychoactive according to H&O and adrenochrome trip is comparable to mild a psilocybin/LSD experience. However, from the reports in that book it does not sound exciting at all. Just a mild buzz with minor psychedelia.

There is a report or two on erowid too. Including dosages.

Yeah I've read it (thank you MGS). They do tell what the experience was like but not dosage.

I've read the two trip reports on erowid. One report of finding the adreno in some ones dads tool box (heh). For some reason I think the whole trip report was made up. Osmond reported injecting intramuscularily while this report was an oral experiment and also the adreno was in liquid form. The report does not say the consentration of the aquious solution so dosage is unknown in this report.


The other report looks more legit to me. While he does mention dosages he does not experiment with IM injections and he also said it was not very powerfull so his trip was mostly inconclusive.

^ that second report looks pretty in depth. If I were you, Id follow along with that one in your experimentations. Look at what dosages and methods of admin. he used and just increase it a little bit, and you might end up where you want to be with it.

I checked around google myself trying to find some dosage information, and as youve probably noticed, there isnt any to be found, so my best recomendation would be what I stated in the paragraph above. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice, but I dont entirely trust the trip report. I would much rather have research that was published in a medical journal somewhere..

If there were several trip reports with around the same dosage I would consider those dosages. Also I believe the best way to do adreno is intramuscularily and there are no trip reports with someone doing IM injections.

No problem. I agree that would be the best information to have, unfortunatley it doesnt seem like there is any of that around, so considering those circumstances is why I made that recomendation.
