Hey everyone,
I have my first appointment soon for an ADHD evaluation. I’ve suspected for a long time that I might have ADHD, but finally decided to get assessed. I’ve been reading about what the assessment involves and what the guidelines are, and honestly, it’s making me pretty nervous — I’m worried about how I’ll come across or whether I’ll “say the wrong thing.”
For those of you who’ve gone through an ADHD evaluation, what was it like for you? How did you manage the nerves, and what helped you prepare?
I really just want to be honest and get some clarity, but hearing about others’ experiences would help a lot. Should I let them know that I am looking for a specific medication or just stimulation medication in general?
