Fuck You, thats why!
What are some good things to add flavour? im guessing it would be a bad idea to mix coffee into it.I dont like any teas or honey, im guessing lemon juice would weaken its potency? Maybe just some good old sugar?

Lemon juice helps actually, so I suggest lemon juice, lime juice, anything acidic really. The acidity helps get the morphine from the pods. I usually use lemon juice, and then I add enough orange juice to cool it down enough to drink then.

Well i was already to the store and got the seeds, 36km round trip so its too late to get lemon juice but i have vitamin c tabs. Can i just crush up a bunch of those?

If you're using poppy seeds, it shouldn't taste too horrible on it's own. If it came out milky and/or smells a little funny you probably let the seeds sit in the water too long. It's no good if they sit because not only do the seeds start to release a bunch of digusting fats and oils after a bit, they also start to absorb the water (with all those good alkaloids in it.)

You want to 'wash' the seeds as opposed to making a tea out of them. Don't let it 'steep' or anything like that. If you use lemon juice with the seeds, make sure to only use a little bit. Too much is a bad thing and can make the tea difficult to drink.

Once you've put the seeds and water (enough to cover the seeds) in the bottle you should shake it as vigorously as possible for about 3 minutes max, then drain the liquid and drink it. The seeds are good for a second wash if you do it quickly, , although it is less potent than the first. I personally wash the seeds twice back to back, combine the first two washes into the same glass and drink it like that.

Sugar can make it pretty palatable if you're having trouble drinking it at first. It does take some practice to get the method down pat, but remember that you're washing the goodies off of the seeds, not extracting them, and you should be alright.

The seed tea also has practically zero shelf life. The clock to it spoiling starts pretty much as soon as water touches the seeds, so don't try to store it or save it for later...it won't be any good.

I forgot to mention im using seeds, and i only have vitamin c tabs to put in it. The bags of seeds i have are 155g per bag how much should i use? I also have a scale.

^Neither. You need to use cold or room temp water. Hot water is no good because it will cause way more fats and oils to be released from the seeds (which you do not want) and boiling water will destroy the good stuff. You don't need to crush up any vitamin C tablets or add anything else to it. Just water and poppy seeds in a bottle.

I went ahead and used hot tap water and crushed vitamin c into it a while before you posted, im not feeling anything strong just feeling good :) But i do have another bag of seeds so next time i'll use cold water.

I had been thinking you were using pods, so you can disregard my last post. Oxide seems to know what's up with making the tea with seeds.

I've sometimes used light lemonade/cola to make seed tea. Tastes pretty good and carbonation and acids in sodas seems to help the extraction a little. Usually i just use water though. That's almost free and always available.

For poppy pods, using any strongly flavored tea is decent. I don't like sugary stuff myself, but that also helps if one doesn't like bitter tastes. I personally prefer eating my poppies powdered with water or coffee as a chaser. Great way to start a day off from work. Large strong coffee with full fat milk and small cup of powder pods. Seems to hit pretty quick that way. Haha

Haven't tried it myself, though i've had some anecdotal evidence and personal reports stating that using cola to make pod/seed tea is a viable method, just mix it with the coke and then shake it up (or roll it around, if you don't wanna make it go flat). Would certainly help cover the taste.

i dont mind bitter tastes, even shrooms. I have my own recipe now :) 155g seeds + 4 crushed vitamin C tabs, i used about 8 lasttime and it was sour as fuck.

Glad it worked out for you, I'll go ahead and close this now since you've got it figured out.

The tea should be pretty palatable on it's own if you've done it correctly...you'd probably get better results using lemon juice or something to that effect as opposed to crushed vitamin C tablets, though. Oh, of course don't forget to not let it sit once you've put the water on the seeds. :P
