I think people can be addictive
I think you can crave someone
With your body and your mind
And everything you have
And not understand why.
I think people can be cruel
I think you can be injured
And torn apart and ripped to shreds
While they take everything you have
With no reason why
And the cycle can spin and spin
With pain and addiction...
But I’m twirling away
Because every part of me yearns for him
I feel whole when we’re together
And we blend so well
I believe that somehow, things will work out
But then I’m just smacked down again
In an endless cycle of kindness and disregard
Black and white
Love and hate
And polar opposites just can’t blend
And it’s like every other addiction
Everyone just ignores the bad
Because the good is so good
And I scream
and I cry
because there’s nothing I can do
people are addictive
