Allow me a moment to interject
About why my motives are circumspect
Stare into the bare scare of my impaired
Cornered clarion logic of the needle thresh
Paring my flesh, snaring my vein
Driven to the depths of depravity
An insane travesty spanning the breadth
Of my brain in twain, in pain
Due to the appropriate injection
Of an opiate infection
The dull pitter-patter growing
Into a brass band billowing
Into throbbing and wobbling
My head went bobbling
I want to cease, deign to find peace
From heroin's craving glorious waving
I'm wavering inside, trying to hide
From the self of which I lied
I need to matter as more than a statistic
From a vice that's most cannibalistic
So help me fly into the why
Of my self-destructive lie
