[NOT APPROPRIATE FOR BENZOS/ALCOHOL, You need to contact health services/the hospital/the doctor for detox or home detox]

When the drugs are working *for* us this is the furthest thought and to those people I understand you and hope you're cautious but even if you're bedridden for weeks at a time, for your heart health and the rest of your body; please consider quitting now and going into recovery/rehab. You can start to do some tapering if you're on a really high dose or injecting/smoking it. Have a 2/3 day break at first if you can even manage it, then dose yourself to deal with it. Then next try to get a week taper before you get sick. Reach out for suboxone/methadone treatment. Do guided meditations, listen to wholesome, uplifting music and watch wholesome and uplifting/reassuring films. Not all art/media consumption is dark, hopeless and depraved. I like Solar Opposites and King Gizzard at the moment. You're more than likely going to feel better in the end and you're going to put your health at another huge risk if you continue to use. Hope this type of address isn't coming off as condescending or patronising. My DMs are open if you're lost and suffering addiction, anyone and I wish I could take your hand and show you a way out of it, even if it's just a pat on the back and a nudge to your willpower to kick in. If weed, tobacco and coffee help your recovery, make use of them, if they hurt it, quit them. It is better to meet the underlying depression and anxiety sooner rather than later because this is reality/your natural state. That part I cannot encourage or help you with but I will tell you personally no matter what you have done or been through I personally do not want you to die, end up in hospital or sit and suffer suicidal ideation. Always tell the suicidal thoughts that they're just a cry for help and never ever act on them, ever ever ever ever, at least for me because I asked you not to. After you are on the way with recovery and distant from the habit, things like therapy, SSRIs, anti psychotics or psychedelics can come in to help per your needs. You got this I believe in you so strongly.

Starting with two days seems incomprehensible to me. 6 hours I'm squirming, 12 I'm sick, 16 hours I'm violently ill and delirious/ shitting myself

At least that was the case when I was heavy. Now I can jump back and forth between fentanyl and subs with only minor symptoms
