I have a bunch of adderall XR 10mg, and vyvanse 30mg.

I usually will take 2 adderalls or 2 vyvanse when I do decide to use them. I find that my knee pain goes away. I have pretty severe patellar tendonitis because of college sports.

I want to know if this is safe, or if its just masking the real problem (inflamation). I dont want to be causing myself more damage. But holy sh*t, these pills work!

Also is it safe to be taking 2 of the Adderall XR 10mg, or 2 of the Vyvanse 30mg? I find that if I take just one pill (either one), they do not work as well.

Any input would be appreciated!

It's probably just masking the inflammation.

TYhat said amphetamines are known to be pain-killers in some people and are even used as an adjuvant to morphine.

Just a guess, Amphetamines release both Dopamine and Norepinephrine right? Dopamine makes you feel good, causing you not to think about the pain. Norepinephrine is aderenaline, which would also cause you to notice less pain?

Could be a reason? Idk, just a wild guess.

Yes, this is one of it's qualities that lead to it's implementation in various wars throughout the world, however most notably WWII with the Axis forces so they could march/fight/drop bombs for large amounts of time and feel less pain. Besides then, and now in this post, I had never thought it a possibility for amphetamines actually to be effective pain killers, but I suppose it depends on your body and your pain.

Norepinephrine release and reuptake inhibition is known to decrease the sensation of pain. Dopamine, not so much.

I only come on these boards every now and then and post a bit. Everything I see you post is well written and pretty smart. So I have a question:

Wouldn't dopamine by increasing the subjective feeling of "pleasure" cause you to not notice the pain, even though it would still be there? Or am I just completely off in that regard.
