Stimulants adderall xr and zoloft interaction

i will start off by stating that i'm on zoloft 50 mg/day

yesterday i tweaked out on 60 mg (my usual dose) of adderall xr and had a phenomenal high that lasted about 10 hours, but while crashing i experienced something i never have prior to starting zoloft...

that night my heart began to pump 100x stronger than it usually does, i could literally see my chest beat, and i felt my body COMPLETELY burn out. as if my body weighed 3x more than usual. i slept only two hours that night and remember having SEVERE nausea.

i drank about half a gallon of orange juice (probably the only reason i was able to sleep that night), but it didn't help much. the effects were in place even this morning. it's been about 30 hours since i tweaked and i'm still feeling a mild crash...

earlier today i googled "zoloft and adderall interaction" and found out that zoloft inhibits adderall's metabolization and can make it's effects last longer than usual.

i was planning on tweaking tomorrow again and i need to know if their is anyway to counteract this effect. would skipping my daily zoloft for the day help, or do i have to wait until it is out of my system?

any help is greatly appreciated, thanks fellow bluelighters :)

You're planning on doing this again eh? The reason you felt so good was because you got super high due to the potentiation of the amphetamines with the zoloft. There is no way you are going to be able to counteract the negative effects with any degree of certainty and if you stop the zoloft (which has a long half-life though I'm unsure if enzyme inhibition continues throughout) you won't feel as good as you did anyways.

I would not recommend mixing these medicines (serotonin syndrome comes to mind) however if you are going to anyways perhaps at least try a lower dose of adderall.

the zoloft was prescribed, as for the amphetamines, not exactly. i'm an occasional user.

and yes, though i'm planning on taking the same dose (my tolerance to amphetamines develops rather rapidly so i believe it's safe to assume the side effects won't be as pronounced this time around).
