I am a 28 year old guy who took vyvanse for 3 years. During the time my tolerance built up and I was addicted. I would take about one and a half 70mg doses a day. Bottom line is I was miserable and so I quit cold turkey. That was a year ago. I took some adderall and a vyvanse this week and I noticed that its like a day hasn't passed. I don't have cravings or feeling like I need it, but my tolerance is exactly what it was. I took a 20mg adderall xr tonight and I barely noticed that I took anything. I figured after a year it would be more intense but its like my tolerance is the same. Do I have permanent brain damage? Am I able to feel excitement like everyone else? I don't plan on taking it anymore, I don't feel the need. I am freaking out about brain damage though. What should I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated

This is typical for amphetamine and not indicative of brain damage.

Chances are you are feeling the effects but not the ones you "want"... amphetamine stops being a fun "euphoriant" drug pretty quickly but retains its capacity to raise heart rate, blood pressure, etc.

Also: this is not suitable for NSPD.
