adderall on ecstasy break?

After realizing that ecstasy will eventually lose its' touch if i abuse it, ive decided imma wait MINIMUM 5 weeks between rolls.

but im gonna start using adderall (Dextroamphetamine/Levoamphetamine) to help study for school. someone told me amps downregulate 5HT receptors which is what MDMA uses to work its magic

so should i not take adderall if im trying to keep the MDMA experience special?

and if i CAN take it, does it matter how often?



oh and also, if anyone familiar with St. Johns Wort- would it be smart to use it POST-roll since its a mild MAOI/SSRI?
 
Amp an MDMA have a cross tolerance.

Taking amps will increase you MDMA tolerance. If you are taking adderal all the time you may find that taking a break does little or nothing to increase you next MDMA experience because even though you are abstaining from MDMA, you are still building you tolerance by taking adderal.

As for your second question...I can't answer that one. I don't know how long you should wait between adderall doses. It may even be that the increase in tolerance cause by adderall is so little that you would never even notice. I just don't have enough experience in the matter to tell you.

But there is a cross tolerance and taking one will increase the tolerance to the other.

Hmm...not so sure about this one. I know people who would argue otherwise as they always seem to have intense MDMA experiences after there breaks while using there meds in between..interesting theory tho. Do you have a link for your data?

No they don't. MDMA's tolerance relies mostly on the SERT system while amphetamines rely mostly on the dopamine system. Contrary to popular belief, MDMA is not actually an amphetamine, since it doesn't get you flat wired for several hours straight.

To OP: Adderall will not diminish the effects of MDMA.
 
adderal for studying is a stupid idea anyway.
if you find it hard to life without drugs, well.., admit it.
 
d-amph works on the dopamine and noradrenaline receptors and mdma uses mostly seritonin recptors so I don't think there should be any problems with losing magic.

I take adderall everyday and haven't noticed any difference while I'm rollin.
