What we all need is to fill our gaps. With love, family, friends, hobbies/interests and most of all HOPE. Always have something to look forward to. Have goals. It's surprising how many people don't have a clue what they're doing in life or the week or even for the the next day. Start with days. Write stuff down on list or a calender. For example: Make a plan to get a cup up green tea with the dog and buy some fruit and or watch your favorite show or read a book after dinner. That's my biggest hurdle. I just forget to do it and kinda play be ear too much.
For those of you that are grasping for life itself read on. I've tried all the antidepressants. Paxil, Zoloft, Welbutrin, and too many to remember. The one medication I recently found that works for energy and focus is Adderall (very dangerous though because its Amphetamines) but if you've wasted your resources and have run out of options then it may work for you. Yes, it's the one you've been hearing about college kids cramming for tests on. Do your own research then take it to your doctor to discuss. Wait though, there is a huge trick to this type of medication that even the drug companies or pharmacists are not telling you/me ! Listen carefully! This med is for ADHD(Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder). So it's actually used for two opposite symptoms. When you read the warnings on the pharmacy package it says "foods high in acid can greatly affect absorption of this medication." That doesn't mean good or bad though does it? I think they are purposefully vague because of 1. MONEY and 2. It depends on the individual and what you need it for. The trick on this drugs effect is DIET. If your digestive tract is high in acids the medication does NOT absorb well and makes you mellow, tired and foggy. This would be ok for the Hyper Activity in kids right. (BTW I would never let a kid of mine try something as dangerous as these Amphetamines) The other symptom being Attention Deficit Disorder works the opposite If the digestive tract is less acidic and higher in alkaline. The medication will then ABSORB into the body faster and you will feel energetic, focused and less depressed. Beware! It's highly addictive and has very high danger of abuse. One last thing. The last related medication I recommend trying is one part of Adderall called Dexedrine (Dextro-Amphetamine). It's 1 of 4 Amphetamine Salts that make up Adderall. Still dangerous and has the same addictive qualities but it's a mellower feeling with more tolerable energy levels. Look this up on any search website. "Dexedrine or Adderall with a high Acid or Alkaline diet". You'll learn a lot about diets and how the body balances not only the medications but food nutrients. Its truly amazing and I think our kids should be learning this in grade school. Better to go natural if you can but If you're on lifes edge then consider this medication with your doctor. Here is a site with lists of measured acid or alkaline foods that I look at all the time now. I hope I helped at least one of you from my experience :D
