So I'm a 34 yr old male that may have ADHD, I've had symptoms all my life but docs always considered it just and anxiety issue, so I finally went to see a psychiatrist, and with a lot of experimenting for the anxiety and nothing working I was recently given adderall to try. Well It def seems to be working even at a 10mg quick release which is great, but my issue after all this babbling lol, is that I also have chronic back pain and was prescribed the Percocet. I've taken percs before but with the adderall I'm wondering when to take the percs. People have said I should take the adderall in the morning and the percs in the evening but then what do I do about the pain during the early hours? I didn't ask at my physicians office cause I was afraid he wouldn't give me the percs if he knew I had just started taking adderall. I'm not an addict nor a recreational user, not looking to get high just figure out how to take the adderall and not have my back pain, without any side effects I'd have to worry about. Thanks for reading and hopefully someone can help.

this is still somewhat of a speedball but it shouldn't be too harmful. I would say adderall in the morning then percs later would be best.

the perks would also help with the adderall comedown.

If you're legitimately not using either of these drugs to get high (and I'm not one to judge if you are), then I would suggest strongly that you just be honest with your doctor and ask him this question instead of going on the Internet and asking a forum full of random drug users and weirdos (no offense bluelighters, I say it out of love and because I'm both of those things myself). Not only will be definitely know if that's safe, it's his sworn duty to find a safe way to alleviate your back pain if it isn't.

Thank you guys for your response, I actually decided to just ask the pharmacist and in case anyone else wonders she told me if I took them at the same time they would just cancel each out and I wouldn't get a benefit from either one. She also said it depended on if the pain meds make you hyper that the interaction could be dangerous. So they don't make me hyper and I'm able to take my first quick release adderall and when it wears off in about 5 hours she said I can take the percocet and I should be good for the day. It did work well for me doing it that way. So thank you guys for posting and I hope this helps others.

I actually have the same scripts for the same reasons I had to stop the adderall because it made my neck, jaw and back pain 10x worse and my anxiety went thru the roof. So I started taking my percs at night when I crashed from the adderall and discovered the percs gave me some stimulation and energy that was way more tolerable than the adderall. After a few months of experimenting I learned that the percs worked very well for my ADHD and anxiety symptoms and told my pdoc and now I have a script for 7.5/325 percocet for occasional use. My back pain isn't unbearable and only flares up every couple months so I didn't need it every day for that I just hope you don't get the pain from the adderall I got!
