Acutane (sp)

This is a question about the acne medacine, Acutane. Anyone else ever take this? About 3 years ago I was on it and shortly after finishing my rx, i went into somewhat of a depression. I didn't think anything until lately when a friend of mine told me that depression was linked with taking acutane, and there was a study on it. Anyone have similar experiences or information? thanks...

Actually, a few of my friends used to take it in highschool and one of the main side-effects was dry skin, but depression was also another side effect in some patients. This link to rxlist (drug side effects of accutane) might help too

I'm starting accutane tomorrow (hopefully - bin trying to get the damn stuff for ages), and am quite nervous to the possible side effects. However, I hate having spots so much that I have to give this a try I feel.
Also, is it ok to pill very occassionally whilst on it, coz I won't be able to drink at all.

Ummm...Other Drugs is the forum to help you get high (on anything but ecstasy). This sounds like Medical.

i doubt that Other Drugs is to "help you get high" but anyway, thanks for the info Ritalingirl. I know, I've been out of chat for a while now...
My acutane experiences were pretty good. extremely dry skin for the first 3wks or so of use, but after that my face cleared up and I was very happy with it. Even to this day (5 years later) i still keep a clear face.
