Acid Stability

Does anyone know how long a sheet of acid would last in terms of strength if stored properly? Experiences? Please don't just say a long time...thanks.

If your acid is stored in a cool dry place it should last a good couple of months before losing any potency. By cool I mean room temp., by dry I mean put it in some sealed tuperwear. It may last longer or shorter, I am making that assumption from the fact that I do know acid is a pretty unstable substance.
BTW: Keep it away from light, light deteriorates acid signifigantly.

i've had acid, paper and gelatin, last a long long time. i am sure that its potency dropped a little but since its so powerful anyway it didnt matter much. keep it out of the heat, air, and light. mine was stored in a glass bottle desk.
i've taken acid that i bought a couple of years ago and it was still stellar!

it's fairly unstable, yes, but not extremely.
it is VERY susceptible to degradation by light; sunlight will destroy it quickly. so will tap water, although "liquid" acid is considered stable. acids or impurities in blotter may cause a problem; geltabs are probably better.
try to avoid going beyond 4-6 months. keeping it cold is a good idea; i'm not *sure*, but i can't think of a reason why the freezer would hurt it.

I've always found that with paper, or gels or liquid dropped on something, the best storage is in a sealed baggie, inside some container then put in the freezer, there it keeps real well, I've had a sheet last a good couple of months with no potency loss, I'd imagine it could've stayed much longer...
