Acid, drops per blotter?

A guy my friend knows is getting us some blotters, when I asked how many micrograms are on 1 hit, he said, "I just put 3 drops on each hit", to me this sounds like to much for just 1 hit, but I don't have any experience with LSD.
Does this sound normal?
I don't want to trip too hard my first time, I'd like a mellow trip , I've done shrooms many times and very much enjoy the visuals,
Would half a hit still give a decent visual trip?
 
I was always under the opinion that people only actually dropped stuff on to stuff like sugar cubes or sweet tarts, aren't blotters usually 'laid'? Anyway, ask him if he knows how much liquid and LSD was in the vial.

3 drops should be around 0.15 mL.

If your worried about it being to strong, take half and take the other half if its not strong enough.
 
If you're really not sure, I'd take half, let's assume that the blotter is in the same range as the ones that are usually around, which tend to be anywhere from 50ug range up to 250ug.

So you're probably best off taking half, worst case scenario you'll barely feel it, and know how much to take next time. Best case you'll end up somewhere around 100ug, which is probably a good place to start for someone who's done psychs before, assuming you're dropping them in a safe environment, I wouldn't recommend trying acid out in unfamiliar situations, but I'm sure you're already aware of that. :)

I also thought that dropping liquid on blotters was amateuristic. Here are some things I found out:

  • You shouldn't use normal liquid acid to make blotters because it is not concentrated enough and it can make the doses uneven or hard to get rid of the solvent (ethanol I hope) so it can be messed up.
  • Sometimes sheets are not laid but pipetted, this should only be done with a good micropipet or with a sort of pipetting machine that uses needles to apply the liquid to the paper. As a matter of fact I am getting blotters that are made that way as we speak, it is a good insurance of even dosing.

My friend said he asked him how good it was and he said he took 1 and in 15 minutes started seeing purple elephants coming out of his wall and then passed out, which is obviously BS.
If I'm gonna see purple elephants within 15 minutes and then pass out I don't think I would even do acid.
 
LOL yeah that really sounds like a made up advertising. Purple (or even better pink) elephants are the number one thing ignorant people think LSD will make you see. Other things would be gnomes elves and leprechauns. Imagine my surprise when I found out that DMT can make you see elves (I have on multiple occasions) :D that was a real reversal of ignorance - a world upside own in every meaning of the phrase.
 
I've started tripping in 15 minutes before but I've never seen anything resembling a life form coming out of the wall. Acid is more fractal in nature in my experience. It can make living things look more interesting, but the only thing that you should see coming out of a wall are patterns. Or the wall could appear to be concaving and convexing, 'breathing' like the walls did in the Matrix after Neo was shot and got back up! Gotta try DMT, though, I really want to see what those elves are all about!
 
In all truth I have seen a banner move as if there were a really strong wind within 5 minutes of consuming mushrooms (around 45 grams fresh combined with fruit juices), even though it was inside of a room with no wind at all. Those were some intense visuals for 5 minutes.
With acid I have started tripping in 15 minutes as well but not peaking.
 
i've definietly started tripping within 15-20 minutes on acid ALOT, on a huge dose of 4-aco-dmt I was full-on-balls-to-the-fucking-wall tripping in 10 minutes.
