I've never heard of anyone doing this before, so I'll take credit for coming up with it.

Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Here's a way to make it the most enjoyable meal of the day, too. I call this...
KAIROS CEREAL (patent pending)
You will need:
* .5-3 grams of Marijuana (Depending on potency and preference)
* Several grams of dried opium poppy pods (Again, YMMV)
* Large pat of butter (~1 Tablespoon or 1/8th of a stick)
* Oatmeal or other hot cereal
* Coffee grinder
* Large cereal bowl
* Microwave oven
* Medium-large jar (a 1 quart Kerr or Mason jar works nicely)
* Fruit, honey, chocolate... whatever you like to sweeten your oatmeal with
* Water
Directions:
Fill the jar about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way full with water and put the butter in the jar with the water. Heat it in the microwave. Grind the marijuana to a fine powder in the coffee grinder. Once the jar of water and butter is boiling, dump the marijuana powder in the jar. Put the jar back into the microwave and boil it again for several minutes. (You'll begin to notice one of my favorite smells: hot cannabutter!) While the water/butter/marijuana is boiling, grind the poppy pods to a fine powder in the coffee grinder. Put your normal serving of oatmeal in the cereal bowl. When the marijuana has boiled for several minutes, dump the lovely green liquid over the oatmeal. There should be the perfect amount of liquid with the oatmeal, but you may add some water if needed. Stir it and put the bowl back into the microwave. Bring the oatmeal mixture to a boil, remove it from the microwave, and stir in the poppy pod powder. Add plenty of honey, fruit, chocolate, or whatever else you normally use to sweeten your cereal. (Being somewhat of a bodybuilder, I usually add my favorite chocolate protein powder and some honey.)
Allow your cereal to cool while you stir it occasionally, eat it up, and truly enjoy a beautiful lazy day!
Theory:
Some people prepare cannabutter and remove the actual marijuana from the butter once it's cooked, but I always leave the marijuana in the butter to use the entire goopy mix in my recipes. Similarly, most people prepare opium poppy tea and strain the poppy pod powder from the liquid, but I always gulp the gritty powder down with the tea. Don't worry about eating these things; this practice simply adds more healthy fiber to your diet!
One of the reasons that there is a wide range in the amount of marijuana that you can use is because I always include seeds and stems in my marijuana. Seeds and stems have lower levels of THC, but (as I always say,) "waste not, want not!" Recently I used about 4 grams of seeds and stems in my Kairos Cereal and very little actual buds of the marijuana plant, and the effect was quite, quite nice. Offhand, I'd say that seeds and stems are about 1/5th as potent as the buds that they grow.
Some people don't like the mix of marijuana and opiates, but I find that this combination gives me a wonderfully relaxed, euphoric, clear-headed high. As always, YMMV!
Your Faithful Friend,

You need the heat to activate the weed. Cooking and eating weed is far more efficient than smoking it. I once went nearly an entire day stoned from a potent batch of pot brownies.

The heat won't kill the THC. It's actually heat-activated and bonds to the fat in the butter. I think that it is possible to over-cook marijuana and destroy some THC (or at least cause your food to be inedible!), but the boiling water (as I'm sure you know) has a maximum temperature of 212F under normal atmospheric air pressure, so it's pretty much perfect for releasing the THC into the butter. Think about it, if THC was destroyed by heat, how could people bake pot brownies? How could people smoke weed??

The alkaloids in the poppy pods (morphine, codeine, papaverine, and thebaine), on the other hand, can be damaged by excessive heat. That's why you add the pod powder after the boiling has already been done.
Good stuff.

Nearly an entire day, eh?

I cooked an ounce of fairly decent schwag in 2 cups of butter and made a batch of choclate-chip cookies a few weeks ago. My friends and I each ate one-eighth of the batch (we each ate an eighth of weed!) and I think all of us lost consciousness at one or more points throughout the day. Two of us going out to eat was quite an adventure! I think the waitress knew that ... well, weren't quite right in the head.

We ate the cookies around noon and I started to come down around 2AM. That was quite a day! Highly recommended... but don't overdo it, and certainly plan ahead for it as an incapacitating all-day event if you're going for a high dose.

The poppy pods were a nice touch, but this still stinks of the mary-jane, and will be moved to the correct forum.... you may post follow-up's there... (thats psychedelic drugs)..
