I'm just not aware of any KOR antagonists in the pipeline, maybe its about time I read that list I got to see if there are any in the exploratory phase. With the recent interest in Salvinorins and dynorphins I wouldn't be surprised to see something in the pipeline. I tend not to give new molecules much interest until Phase II, however. What is the point of salivating over a chemical that only has a 5% chance of coming to the market.. Unless of course you have your own private lab to synth or order these research chems.
Awhile back I think there were KOR drugs for analgesia, but if I'm remembering correctly they came with negative side effects like hallucination.
I'd love to see pharma-research show more interest in sleep-mediated ADs. It almost seems as if sleep is entirely ignored and only the wakeful process is focused on.
Drugs like almorexant, agomelatine and perhaps deltaran. Now that's what I'd like to see more of. To hell with methylphenidate, eugeroics, and amphetamines like lisdex.
